DIRECTIONS

To Whitstable:  
You can also take the train direct from London Victoria, every half hour to Whitstable, takes about one hour and quarter. The station is about 10 mins walk from the house.  When you come out of the station turn left, you will reach Cromwell Road;  take the left fork and you will see Stocks hardware stores .  Follow Cromwell Road until you hit Oxford Street with the shops. Turn right and you will see Nelson road shortly (there is a tattoo parlour on the corner), take this road and this will lead you to Island Wall. We are the black cottage on island wall, just opposite the corner shop windy corner.

From London:
Go through the Blackwall Tunnel. Take the A2/M2 signed for Margate, continue to end of motorway.
Continue along the A299 from junction 7 signed Margate.
Take the A2990 signed Whitstable.
Turn left into Whitstable at roundabout.

For Island Wall drive down Borstall Hill into the centre of town, under the railway bridge continue until the tattoo shop on left corner. This is Nelson Road, take that to the very end and Island Wall is right in front of you. Park outside the ‘Windy Corner’ shop and unload. 98 is the black house just in front of you to the left.

Once you have unloaded park where you can. There are usually spaces on the unmade road, parallel to Island Wall, just back past the corner shop.  You can even cut back to Island Wall through one of the numerous tiny alleys.  Failing a free space on the street, there are numerous car parks all over Whitstable, and it is relatively cheap to park there for the day.  Remember that the weekends will be busier to park.
